But when you've got an all-in-one solution like this, it's really worth its weight in gold that it enables you to be able to scale the business. And like, yeah, we even with lockdowns and stuff that we've had our biggest year we've ever had sort of thing, and that's without seeing people face to face for virtually a whole year. So it's been a game-changer.

Why I switched to TeamUp

My name is Jordan Head, my business we run Head Active, and you know what we essentially do, well pre-lockdown and everything, was more outdoor fitness. So outdoor bootcamps and everything alongside running six-week challenges as well. So that's what we were doing, pre lockdown. I saw a friend that was using TeamUp and it looked like exactly what I really wanted. I was using a booking system of some kind, but it wasn't really an all-in-one type system. It was just somewhere we could book. So when I saw this, I was like, actually this is a lot more professional than what I was offering before. And it looked like it was just going to be a lot better for myself and for the clients as well. Without a doubt, if lockdowns and everything all happened I would have done what I saw loads of other health and fitness professionals doing, which was just doing Zoom calls and putting people in Facebook groups. And then how do you manage who's paid? And it was just going to be an absolute headache.

So, you know, I actually only signed up with TeamUp maybe like two or three months before the lockdowns came in. And actually, it was a saving grace because everything that we were doing with face to face, we could quite seamlessly transition it to an online offering. And if anything, you know, now we've got more offering. We can service the people that are local to us, which is amazing. But also we have the opportunity to help people. Now, I would say maybe 20 to 30 percent of our member base now are people that are remote that we would never have been helping out beforehand. And yet just because it's linked to memberships, you know, the people that are paying are the people that are going to get access to everything. So it just makes everything a lot more efficient for sure.

Having people jump through the hoops, which is really, really important for us so that the notifications, like we first of all, if someone's interested, they've got to then purchase a membership and then off the back end of purchase the membership, they automatically receive an email rather than it's an admin task or look, someone's paid for something and then send them the information, it's then automatically done for them as well. So their next steps, what they've got to do from onboarding, where they've got download apps, et cetera, it's having that automation, which just means you can help more people a lot more effectively. So that's been a huge, huge win for us because we can be really efficient for every person, not just the ones where we've got our eyes on every ball and stuff like that as well.

We were already offering on-demand service, but we were using separate software. We're using click funnels to be able to host a membership site. So essentially we had a membership site with them and I would download all the videos. I trim them, crop them, everything and anything, and then I'd upload them to Vimeo and then put them within this membership site. And it worked okay, but the problem is when someone had a membership they got access to on-demand, so they got a log in and then I would have to manually if someone stopped their membership, have to go and delete their login for the other one. So the great thing about this is it's when someone's got an active membership, they've got access to it.

So it's just again, it just when I saw the opportunity and we've already built up over a thousand workouts in a year of our own sessions with this other website, but I was still like, this is going to be much better. So I was ready to transition across without a shadow of a doubt. I still use it, it's not because I was trying to save money because I still use click funnels, so it's made no difference from that. But it's just from a functionality perspective, it's way better. And also the filtering software, the filtering function within the on-demand was a game-changer because people could then say, I want to do a 30-minute work, I want to do a 45-minute workout.

I want to do bodyweight-only workout or a weighted workout and they can filter what they want and also the instructor and stuff and that before they just have to scroll through hundreds of workouts to try and find what they wanted. I've actually had two people that have got started and I didn't even know they did it. They just saw what we were doing and they wanted to get involved as well. And it's a no brainer. You know, it's adding that professionalism to the business. And I think it's so easy to be good at doing what you're doing, which is helping people, you know, get active and stuff. And actually, it's the admin and the income side of it and the memberships and it's just a headache.
